CWC Home Energy Tune-up Application

CWC volunteer Energy Coaches help renters and homeowners reduce their monthly utility bills and save resources by providing free home Energy Tune-ups in Alachua County. Energy Tune-Ups may save hundreds of dollars a year on your household's utility bills. Our home energy tune-ups are completely free, thanks to our generous partners and volunteers.

A CWC Energy Tune-up includes a home inspection of major appliances, the installation of energy- and water- saving items by trained, vetted volunteers (including LED light bulbs and water-saving shower heads), utility bill review and suggestions to lower your energy and water expenses.

To apply to receive a tune-up, please review the statements below and answer the questions on the following pages.

I understand that tune-ups are performed by 2 to 3 trained volunteers or staff members, and not professional energy auditors.
I understand that volunteers have been through >12 hours of training and are background checked.
I will be home during the duration of the home tune-up (plan for at least 3 hours) and will participate as much as I am physically able to in the process.
I will have a recent utility bill on hand for the CWC volunteer Energy Coaches to review.
